HealthTips for the Breasts Health

  • Avoid wearing under-wire bras. Underwire bras limit breast circulation and can constrict lymphatic flow.

  • Increase your alkaline food intake. Eat more leafy green veggies (kale, parsley, chard) and decrease or eliminate daily consumption of coffee, alcohol, sugar and caffeine.

  • Increase Self-Care activities and learn to replace stress, anger, grief and resentment with healthy ways (exercise, meditation, hypnosis, spiritual practice, deep breathing, journaling, therapy, reflexology…).  *Always consult your doctor before starting any new health care routine *

  • Stay Hydrated
  •  Follow conventional wisdom - drink at least eight glasses of water per day. The more time you spend outside, the more water       you need to replenish the lost body fluids.
  • Do not wait until you are thirsty to drink water. By the time, you feel thirsty, you have already lost two or more cups of your total body water (this is important as body water protects the integrity of your cells and aids in proper detoxification).
  • Do not substitute caffeinated coffees, teas and sodas for water. Caffeine acts as a diuretic, causing you to lose water through increased urination. Alcoholic beverages have a similar effect.
  • Start and end your day with a serving of water. Your body looses water while you sleep.
  • Common maladies like colds and the flu can frequently lead to dehydration. When it is warm outside, cold water (not carbonated soft drinks or sports drinks) is the best for staying hydrated. Cool water is absorbed much faster than warm beverages and may have a positive effect on cooling off an overheated body.

Case Study One:

This patient had calcifications in the right breast that were found on a Mammogram. The doctor wanted to do a biopsy and possible lumpectomy but she wanted to see if Thermography was showing blood flow and high activity in the area first.

Her baseline scan showed much defined blood flow and activity in the area. She chose to use some holistic treatments first. She was monitored by thermography monthly, and her thermography breast scan has shown the tissue has continued to cool down in the comparative scan.

Case Study Two:

Thermography can also help monitor traditional breast cancer treatment such as chemotherapy or radiation. This case study came in for a breast thermography scan after feeling a hard lump in her right breast for over a year. Two different doctors had examined her and assured her that she was fine. After her breast thermography scan (Image left bottom of the page), it was apparent that there was something serious in that the right breast. She went back to her doctor, and her doctor send her in for a mammogram.

Five tumors were found in the area with the mammogram. After confirming breast cancer with a biopsy, she began a six-month chemotherapy protocol, and within three months, all of her tumors had all disappeared.

Her comparison thermography (Image right bottom of the page) confirmed that her treatment was progressing as expected. She also received holistic support from her nutritionist and acupuncturist during her chemotherapy.
